How the scholarship works
- STEP 1
Apply online
Complete the short scholarship application. It takes about 15 minutes and you can save and return.
- STEP 2
Review
Our scholarship team reviews your details and confirms that you meet the requirements.
- STEP 3
Verification
Shortlisted applicants are contacted for verification and may be asked for extra documents.
- STEP 4
Approval
Approved applicants receive their scholarship offer through the portal and by phone.
- STEP 5
Enrolment
You are enrolled with Citi Polytechnic and begin studying through the ODeL programme from Aba.
National Diploma (ND)
For applicants with O'Level results who are starting their polytechnic education.
Who can apply
- Minimum of four O'Level credits including English or Mathematics, depending on programme
- WAEC, NECO or NABTEB result (awaiting result accepted with evidence)
- Valid means of contact — a phone number you use regularly
- Willingness to study through the Open Distance e-Learning format
Higher National Diploma (HND)
For applicants who already hold an ND and want to complete the higher diploma.
Who can apply
- Completed National Diploma (ND) in a related programme
- Statement of result or certificate from a recognised institution
- ND grade of Pass and above
- Evidence of IT/industrial training where applicable
About The Free School Foundation
The Free School Foundation is an education-focused foundation based in Aba, Abia State. We fund education for people who have the ability and the drive but not the means — school leavers, working adults and anyone whose education was interrupted by cost.
We work directly with recognised institutions so that every place we fund leads to a real, recognised qualification. Our first campaign is a partnership with Citi Polytechnic Abuja for 100% funded ND and HND places through their Open Distance e-Learning Programme.
